action on film schedule

the action on film festival schedule has just been released and there are an amazing amount of films being packed into the two and half days of screenings. eight theaters are showing films from 11a-11p.

'an exercise in vigilance' screens at 5:30p* on sunday, july 29th in theater 4. mark it! :)

*update: due to the film preceding ours being swapped out for a shorter film and then being swapped back (!), we're now back at 5:30p.

the festival site also has a list of the award nominees. unfortunately we weren't in that illustrious honor group, however it's a great way to decide what films to watch, especially if they're at conflicting times. im definitely going to try and see the nominees for 'best action sequence' and 'best action short' among others.

the festival will be honoring the venerable bill duke, probably best known for his role in 'predator,' and attended by john saxon (who also stars in one of the festival films), absolutely best known for his participation in that classic action film, bruce lee's 'enter the dragon.'
