i am both incredibly elated that we've elected barack obama as our president and deeply saddened and angry that it seems proposition 8 in california will pass.
it further disturbs me that los angeles, the city i was born in and call home, is one of the counties that (so far) is voting
for it.
what's wrong with us?
1 deep thoughts:
Everybody just has different views. Whether Obama really personally wants Prop 8 to pass or not, we all really don't know. Don't get me wrong, Im pretty excited hearing the news about Obama being elected and all, but what us Americans don't really understand is that he is just a puppet performing a show. The show is set up by others and he's just hosting it with a little teleprompter in his ear. If it wasn't for the smart lady behind his mic then would Obama really be elected?
Hmm.. But I do know one thing. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the gay community. Whether we believe in the one above or not, we were all placed here on mother earth and for what we are, we all -gay,straight,bi,etc- most definitely should be accepted into the social environment with a green light, and even if there is a red light stopping us, who says that anybody can stop us?
If there are legal rights to the racial issues, then why not endulge in giving rights to a community that has never caused any harm, the gay community..
